December Blog on Cliff Lee

Monday night Cliff Lee finally made his decision for continuing his profession as a professional baseball player. Instead of switching to the Yankees like everybody though he returned to the Phillies. Lee turned down bigger deals with the Yankees and Rangers he decided it felt right right where he started. His new deal goes for a five year 120 million dollar contract guaranteed. A really big reason Cliff Lee went to the Phillies is that Roy Halladay and their pitching staff next year will be ridiculous.

In my opinion Cliff Lee is making his decision for all the right reasons. To go back to his roots and where he began his major league career is a big factor. Also being added to their pitching core will make them very hard to beat next year. This Phillies team will most likely be one of the teams to beat next season.

week 11 blog

The Redskins have suspended Alber Haynesworth for four games. Haynesworth has not been performing well because he does not like Washington. For this reason he wants a trade. Instead of giving him the easy way out his coach suspended him for the next four games without pay. Haynesworth's actions is doing nothing positive for the teams because he is not doing what he is told.

In my personal opinion i believe this is a fair punishment because he originally agreed to play with this team. Because he does not like the team does not give him the right to go purposely agaisnt the rules just to switch teams. He should get traded because he is a good player but not for as much money as he deserves because of the stunt he has just pulled.

Decembe 1st Kanye West Blog

After releasing his album last Tuesday, Kany West sold 490,000 units of his new album. The albums title was "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." Kanye broke out another hit having his fourth consecutive album that hit the number one album spot on the billboard. Also out of the 490,000 sold 224,00 were sold online. This is the fourth larget digital selling of any album. After his controversial incidents last year Kanye reconciled his life and really put his heart into this album and it paid off.

My personal opinion to his "turn around" in life is that he really wants to right his wrongs. In most of his songs he talks about all the wrong he has done and apologizes. With going out vulnerable this album really paid off because he wanted to show the world he is not that person anymore and regrets being him in the past. Selling this many albums to me is

Obama's speech

President Obama's speech was quite influential. It was also pointless. President Obama kept beating around the bush when being asked questions. Even though he has not made alot of progress, he still believes he is doing the righ thing. Even though he questions some things he has done, he still does the right thing with the best interest of us Americans.

I believe we should partially blame the President because his decisions made us where we are today. Even though he is trying his best, it is not good enough considering that all the "change" he was promising is garbage at this moment in time. The stimulus bill is helpin now but how are we going to get all the money back?

November blog

After a full year of hard work, Pitcher Roy Halladay got his payment. Even though he did not win a world series, he still got an award. He received the Cy Young Award which is in honor of the best pitcher in the MLB. Roy Halladay became the first pitcher to win this award in both league. The other pitcher that did this was Roger Clemens.
Personally, to me I am a major advocate of this. After pitching his term that far into a season really deserves something. Almost every appearance he had this year was quality. After throwing the second no hitter in playoff history, this is one reason why he deserves this award.

Blog Halloween

Despite having broken bones and being over the age of 40, Brett Favre still finds the strength to play. It seems like this guy is invincible. Last Week's game Favre had a couple days earlier, he still seemed to come out and play his heart out. He was walking around in a boot a couple of days earlier but seemed to take it off so he could help his team try and win. This week was a different story, he had to put stitches in his chin after taking a brutal hit in the game. Even though he is all beat up he keeps going for his team. To me personally he has alot of heart going all out for his team. Even taking brutal shots and being at an unfair advantage he seems to keep going even though he knows he's gonna get hurt.

Blog on Android

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/25/technology/25android.html?_r=1&hp

This article is about The Android Marketplace. It refers to how the app store of iTunes and the Android marketplace may start to converge. Even though Android marketplace is being criticized for the things they do, people like it. Why would someone change something if it is working really well and is making money. The app store is still more popular but the android users seem to love the marketplace even more because the prices of their applications are way more reasonable. Not only are they more reasonable, there are a wider range of applications since users make them not just a compnay. Android systems are only in their first version. This is like a test run for them and people like it this much already. I believe the Android marketplace is alot better and will only get better from where it is because it is so new!
